Job Description

Job Title:
RGC Senior Team Analyst

Salary:
£12.50 per hour

Location:
Parc Eirias, Colwyn Bay, North Wales

Hours of Work:
9 hours per week (2–3 evenings)
Potential for additional matchday and partner organisation hours for the right candidate

Responsible to:
RGC General Manager

Contractual Status:
Casual, 9-month role

Role Summary

Deliver performance analysis to support the development of the RGC Senior Team.

  • RGC Senior Team and Academy Staff

Key Responsibilities, Tasks and Activities

  • Enhance coach feedback and player development through analytical interventions.
  • Film, analyse, and archive RGC Academy training sessions.
  • Provide analysis on team and individual performances to support feedback and talent identification.
  • Work with coaches to build presentations for game and individual reviews.
  • Analyse opposition teams and develop tactical SWOT dossiers with coaching staff.
  • Build player performance profiles using Sportscode databasing and statistical reporting techniques.
  • Assist in developing relationships with academic and commercial partners.
  • Maintain and manage RGC performance analysis and IT equipment.
  • Protect all private athlete information in line with WRU data protection guidelines.
  • Carry out duties in support of the WRU Group Strategic Mission, Purpose and Values.

Person Specification

Experience & Knowledge

  • Experience working within a team sport environment.
  • Excellent working knowledge of Sportscode software.
  • Ability to shoot high-quality still and moving images for performance analysis.
  • Ability to communicate and work through the medium of Welsh (desirable).

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree or working towards a degree in Sport Science or related subject (or equivalent).
  • Excellent IT skills, including Apple Mac, Google Suite, and Microsoft software.
  • Strong interpersonal and written/verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

Other Requirements

  • Valid UK driving licence.
  • Role subject to enhanced DBS disclosure and regular review.
