RGC Welcome Nick Fish and Nathan Skupski to the Academy Programme

RGC are delighted to welcome Nick Fish as Academy Forwards Coach and Nathan Skupski as Academy Physical Development Coach, as the Under-18s prepare for their upcoming fixture against Cardiff this Sunday at Stadiwm Eirias. The match kicks off at 2.30pm, with entry priced at £3 for adults and free for under-16s, as supporters are encouraged to come along and back the next generation of RGC talent.

Nick Fish brings a wealth of coaching experience to the programme, having most recently served as Forwards Coach with Aberavon in the SRC, and Cardiff University in BUCS Super Rugby Competition. Fish has previously worked with Cardiff Metropolitan University, Cardiff Rugby Age Grade teams. Nick’s appointment adds significant experience to the Academy environment, supporting long-term player development within the RGC pathway.

Joining him is Nathan Skupski, who takes up the role of Academy Physical Development Coach. Nathan was previously Head of Strength & Conditioning at Widnes Vikings.

RGC Academy Manager Josh Leach has shared his thoughts on the appointments. “It has been great to welcome Nick and Nathan to the Academy coaching team this week, they have gotten stuck in straight away, and brought a good boost to the Junior and Senior Academy environments.

This is an intense period for the Academy with SRC, U18, and U16 competitions all up and running through the next couple of months, and we will benefit hugely from having Nick and Nathan on board.”
