Head Coach
Former Cardiff fly-half Dan Fish took charge in 2024. At 34, Fish is already a familiar face in the capital, having transitioned into coaching through the Academy set-up while still playing. His deep knowledge of the club and eye for talent make him a popular appointment.
Last Season
Cardiff impressed in the SRC regular season, finishing top of the table with 18 wins from 23 games. Their campaign, however, ended in disappointment at the semi-final stage, as they fell 35–20 to Newport at the Arms Park.
New Signings
Ben Fry (Flanker, 28) – Former Wales U20s and Dragons forward, recently back from a stint in America.
Steff Davies (Back 3, 23) – A versatile option out wide, joining after a spell with Coventry.
Familiar Faces
Tom Williams (Wing, 28) – An experienced wide man with a résumé including RGC, Ospreys, Wales 7s, GB 7s, and two Commonwealth Games, signed in the summer.
Tom Cottle - (18) Left RGC for Cardiff Rugby Academy in the summer, having played for Wales 18s/20s and made his SRC debut last season for RGC.
Rising Stars
Cardiff continue to supply young talent to the national set-up, with six players named in the Wales U20 squad this summer:
Sion Davies, Harri Wilde, Steff Emanuel, Elijah Evans, Osian Darwin-Lewis, and Tom Brown.
