George Roberts Returns to RGC for Upcoming Fixtures
RGC have been bolstered by the return of hooker George Roberts, who rejoins the club for the next couple of games.
Roberts, who has made 71 appearances for RGC, last featured for the Gogs in February 2020 in an away fixture against Ebbw Vale before making the move to Doncaster. Since then, he has continued his rugby journey and signed for the Dragons earlier this season.
Now, the experienced front-rower is set to pull on the RGC shirt once again, providing valuable depth and experience at a crucial stage of the SRC Cup campaign.
Speaking about his return, Roberts said:
“I’m really looking forward to getting back involved with RGC for the next few games. It’s always a privilege to pull on the shirt and represent the club, and I’m excited to contribute in any way I can over the coming weeks.”
Roberts will play tomorrow at Newport, and could make a home re-appearance against Carmarthen Quins on Saturday 21st February home (Stadiwm Eirias)
His return comes at an important time, with RGC looking to build momentum in the coming fixtures as they push to qualify for the semi-finals.
With 71 appearances to his name, from Wrexham to Coleg Llandrillo and the RGC Age-Grades, Roberts’ presence will be a welcome boost both on and off the field.
Supporters will no doubt be pleased to see a familiar face back in the squad as RGC head into a key run of games.
