Tudur Jones on Pontypool
RGC head south again this Saturday, looking for a first away win of the SRC season. They ran Ebbw Vale close last week, with the Steelmen clinching a late victory.
Scrum-Half Tudur Jones knows the side needs to start the game strongly "There are a lot of things to take away from the Ebbw Vale game, depending on what you’re looking at.
We didn’t start well enough, and they put points on the board in that first half. But then you look at the response from us — scoring 28 unanswered points — and that showed the belief within the group.
The disappointing thing was that we didn’t close the game out and allowed them to score right at the end.
The focus for us now is about starting games the way we played in that second half last week. Finding that level and, importantly, finding that consistency.
If we can do that, then we put ourselves in good positions, and we know we have the ability to put points on the board."
Remember RGC will be at home on Saturday 10th October against Newport.
