Carmarthen Park
🔍 Overview
After edging Swansea 17–14 last weekend, Carmarthen Quins return to Carmarthen Park full of confidence as they welcome RGC, who make the long 340-mile round trip from North Wales searching for a change in fortune.
The Quins are enjoying one of their best runs of the season with four wins from six, while RGC are desperate to halt a slide that’s seen them lose four consecutive matches.
RGC will be looking to rediscover their rhythm— particularly in the closing stages of matches.
Carmarthen Quins – Building Momentum
Last week’s dramatic late win against the All Whites sealed by Gabe McDonald’s 80th-minute try, showed the Quins’ never-say-die attitude. The experience of Steff Evans, Rhodri Davies, and Tom Phillips guided the side through key phases, while prop Rhys Fawcett earned Man of the Match for a powerful display up front.
The Quins’ lineout has been a strong platform recently, with hooker Isaac Young not only finding his jumpers consistently but also crossing for a crucial try in Swansea. Expect the home pack to test RGC physically from the opening minutes.

Dion Jones "Effort has been fantastic and some of the quality of play. I think we’ve earned respect wherever and whoever we have played this year, with all games being close but it has to be about winning now no matter what.
Effort isn’t enough to win games , so we need to deliver the quality more often and it starts with Carmarthen.
Every team is finding results and we have to start this weekend!"
